Acupuncture shares the same diagnostic system with Chinese herbal medicine. But it treats the disease by altering the flow of Qi in 14 medians with needles.
Acupuncture is already well known as the most effective drug-free pain relief . Actually it also benefits most health conditions.
Acupuncture needles are designed with a smooth surface and are very thin. The feeling of the insertion of a needle can often described as being bitten by a mosquito . Bleeding from acupuncture is quite rare. In our clinic we only use disposable needles.

Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine has a history of more than 2000 years.
It is based on an unique and comprehensive diagnostic system which identifies imbalance of Yin and Yang, Qi and blood of different organs from exterior signs and symptoms. Then a herbal formula which specifically match your individual condition and will restore your balance is prescribed.
From digestive disorders, skin problems to female health issues, Chinese herbal medicine is used to treat a wide range of problems. As natural product without any synthetic chemicals, it has remarkable curative effects and few side effects. It can also be used in combination with Western medicine.
Usually you will need to boil the herbs as tea. The taste of the tea is not very pleasant as a Chinese saying goes ‘good medicine tastes bitter to the mouth’ . Herbal pills and granulated herbs containing active ingredients derived from herbs are also available. Taking these medicines are more convenient and suitable for most people.
Since tongue and pulse reading is quite essential in traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, patients are often recommended not to clean their tongue in the morning of Chinese herbal consultation.
